Digitide Solutions Limited is seeking a Legal Officer to join our CLM Domestic BFSI team. This role is crucial for ensuring legal compliance and providing expert advice to our back-office operations. As a Legal Officer, you will be an integral part of our back-office team, offering legal expertise and guidance to ensure the smooth operation of our business. Your role will involve working closely with various departments to provide legal support and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will be a key advisor, offering strategic insights and helping to mitigate legal risks. Responsibilities - Review and draft legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, including C-level executives and department heads. - Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends. - Identify and assess legal risks associated with business operations and provide recommendations for mitigation. - Collaborate with the compliance team to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with legal requirements. - Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and mediations as required. - Maintain accurate and organized records of legal matters and ensure proper documentation. - Liaise with external legal counsel and manage relationships with law firms and legal service providers. - Conduct training sessions and educate employees on legal matters and compliance best practices. Qualifications - A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school. - Admission to the bar and a valid license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a corporate or business law setting. - Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and relevant industry regulations. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical legal solutions. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly. - Proficiency in legal research and the use of legal databases and resources. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal software and document management systems.
